Been signing up every season since Winter ‘25 and can say it’s been awesome to play basketball here. Organized very well and every season I tell myself I won’t do it this season and something just pulls me back in for another. The staff are very friendly and always welcome you new or current, and are very approachable. They offered to refund my season due to an injury last season that had me not play many games, without me even asking for one. I used to love playing Brodie at the Burlington Playground Facility. Just two years ago was the best men’s league experience of my life. My past two seasons were great playing with accurate updated stats, leaderboards, updated photos each week, weekly posts, micd up posts. Everything was competitive as well as fun. After last summer when the commissioners Adi, Nico & Samo left it feels like nothing has been the same. I recently played in the Brodie Rec League in Burlington, and overall, the experience was disappointing. One of the biggest issues is the officiating. The referees consistently come across as disrespectful toward players, and more concerning, they often seem to lack a solid understanding of the game of basketball. Calls are inconsistent, and it doesn’t feel like the refs are properly trained or held to any real standard, which takes away from the competitiveness and fairness of the league. As me and my team are signing up, Arsalan has been super helpful. Fast respond times, solving problems for our team in time sensitive situations and also still helped us beyond 5:00 Pm which you don’t often see.
