I used to love playing Brodie at the Burlington Playground Facility. Just two years ago was the best men’s league experience of my life. My past two seasons were great playing with accurate updated stats, leaderboards, updated photos each week, weekly posts, micd up posts. Everything was competitive as well as fun. I recently played in the Brodie Rec League in Burlington, and overall, the experience was disappointing. One of the biggest issues is the officiating. The referees consistently come across as disrespectful toward players, and more concerning, they often seem to lack a solid understanding of the game of basketball. Calls are inconsistent, and it doesn’t feel like the refs are properly trained or held to any real standard, which takes away from the competitiveness and fairness of the league. As me and my team are signing up, Arsalan has been super helpful. Fast respond times, solving problems for our team in time sensitive situations and also still helped us beyond 5:00 Pm which you don’t often see. It's been a pleasure playing in this league. I gained so many valuable friendships and connections. The staff and League Managers really treat you like family. Arsalan was just a recent hire as a League Manager but his passion, dedication and attention to detail as well as his amazing personality just makes playing in Brodie Burlington and Brodie League in general even more fun.
