HORRIBLE FIRST IMPRESSION!!! – This was our first visit to this restaurant. We called ahead to see what the parking situation was and they told us the restaurant has a private parking area for patrons and street parking if that was full. When we got there, there was a $10 charge to park in their lot (and no available street parking due to a ball game). I personally was very excited to get a Muffuletta which is listed on their website on their menu. I'm not big on Cajun food, so this really was the only thing I wanted to get ... read more
great Cajun theme – The crawfish bisque was probably the most authentic I've had and though I prefer catfish with a cornmeal (not flour) it was still very good. overall, I think it was very good food. the real test of a cajun restuarant is the gumbo and etoufee, but I will be back to try that. repeat customer! outside seating wasnt that comfortable, but thats part of the charm of eating bayou food. sometimes the smell of the city will get to you, but nothing that can not be overlooked.
BOB is great – Was driving downtown and ran across this great bar..i sat at the outside bar located on their patio, they also have a nice inside bar. The bartender sheila was great as was the ice cold beer and the grilled chicken grinder (i will try the cajun/creole next time i visit), the live music at 5.45pm on a thursday was also a plus. I will be going back most likely sometime next week after work. Watch out for the cards game as i hear it can get very crowded before and after.
Restaurants Just a short walk from Busch Stadium is the small Broadway Oyster Bar with it's cajun-creole style delicacies as well as other fresh seafood. Great music from local bands.
The place is a gem. We were from Chicago looking for some good crawfish, what we found was great food, friendly staff and customers, good music, and it is a easy going comfortable place to spent an evening. My family had a great time. This place is a treasure!!
Never had the food, but the environment and music is always a great time.
What a great place for food! If you enjoy grinders or oysters, this is the place to be.
Really a Cajun place--should be listed there This is a very tiny place--a hole in the wall---but entertaining. If you go to a Cards game--this is a very short walk. Has great gumbo and jambalaya (and oysters) Not alot of seating in this place. It was overly hot when I went there. Often has live music. Try some of their louisiana beers when you're there. (they have alligator too!)
ALLWAY FUN AFTER A GAME – Usually packed after an downtown event, wide range of ages, lots of fun
