My experience trying to arrange auto transport from ******* to ******* was mixed. To begin with, I was not aware that most of the listings are brokers, not the actual shipper. Secondly, I didn't realize that the brokers use the same pool of drivers. The broker quotes a figure based on mileage and a number of other factors including a low but acceptable rate most drivers will accept plus their own profit margin. The quote then goes out and the broker negotiates with the shippers to find one who will take the job at the quoted... read more
