My overall experience with BCCA Surrey has been positive. Dr. Lucas the oncologist is very professional and knowledgeable. She approaches patients in a caring and respectful way. Nurses working at the chemo site cares about their patients despite the heavy workload they have. However, today while receiving chemo, I experienced a new pain in my hand and wrist. Amazing staff! IMPORTANT PARKING INFO: 1). If you are a patient or driving a patient to the BC Cancer Agency, register your license plate when checking in at the front desk to receive a free parking pass. 2). Finding parking at Surrey Memorial Hospital between 8 AM and 2 PM, Monday to Friday, can be very challenging!!! While I have occasionally found a spot quickly, it is common to spend 30 to 45 minutes circling lots and the nearby streets. I’m thankful everyday to my oncologist DR. K. Li, and her team for taking care of me since November 2024. I don’t know how BC cancer hire their nurses, all I can say is, THEY ARE ALL GOOD PEOPLE. Especially Heather in chemotherapy team. I am wishing them all, that universe returns a good health💙♥️
all the staffs are nice and friendly! Dr Angela Chan and Dr Pollock are very knowledgeable and helpful! Only problem is the parking ..very hard to find a spot during the peak hours. so if you are a cancer patient better get someone or volunteer driver to help you get there.
I arrived 15 mins early to my appointment only to have to drive around for 35 looking for parking and end up across the street in a gravel lot (thankfully I can walk independently!!!) Then to top it off I am verbally assaulted by two street people high on drugs camping on a bench outside as I make my way in with my phone running bc cancer because I’m late. More added stress for all of us battling cancer!!!
