Very unhelpful reception, with no urgency. I work in community services, dealing with health professionals so I understand wait times, I do not expect magic or think I am the only person in the world. Trying to get authorization to speak about my dad’s cancer status is a nightmare. I have called 6 times to finally get appointment booked 3 weeks later. The clinic itself does it's best I suppose. However for a very long time, British Columbia took immense pride in its pristine, beautifully landscaped public spaces and world-class hospital grounds. Seeing a major medical facility left to look overgrown and neglected like this feels entirely uncharacteristic for BC and marks a noticeable shift from how things used to be managed. Amazing staff! IMPORTANT PARKING INFO!!!: 1). If you are a patient or driving a patient to the BC Cancer Agency, register your license plate when checking in at the front desk to receive a free parking pass. 2). Finding parking at Surrey Memorial Hospital between 8 AM and 3 PM, Monday to Friday, can be very challenging!!! While I have occasionally found a spot quickly, it is common to spend 30 to 45+ minutes circling lots and the nearby streets. Have had to go there 3-4 times in the last month and everytime all the staff at reception is very friendly and helpful even with directions for other parts of the hospital
The nurse wearing green was very rude to our nurse and rushed us out when our nurse was answering a question. I don’t know why they hire this type of nurse not very professional and rude. I hope one of the management will speak to her and get her lectured.
