My son had his clutch replaced in his car. I can not prove it but I believe when they test drove it they broke a shift rail in the transmission. They tried to get him to replace the transmission with a used one for $2800.00 on top of the $1000.00 labor charge to r&r the clutch. Had it towed to a transmission shop and cost another $1000.00 to repair the broken shift rail. Transmission shop said they had never seen one broken like that. My boyfriend brought his car there to be worked on. They took 4 days longer then they originally said they would take and about $2,000 more then originally discussed. They Ignored his phone calls and wouldnt return them after leaving several messages. He had to start calling off of my phone just to get an answer. After we finally were able to pick the car back up there were problems and had to wind up bringing it back anyway. What they don't tell you is that when "you bring your own parts" which mine was a stereo system that I paid them extra for beyond the scope of work they did properly, they did all the connections and said it was ready prior to closing on a weekend and none of it has ever worked, they claimed a bad amp. I hooked the amp up in my other vehicle and it worked just fine so now they say bad wiring. Tried to take it back and they claimed they would have to charge a full install fee again...
