Since 1971, BRING has worked to change attitudes and behaviors regarding waste. Today, we focus on the urgent issues of wasteful consumption and climate change. Through our reuse store and community education programs, we help people understand how the stuff we use shapes the planet we share.

First serious trip into BRING, we were looking to paint the house this year. With some trepidation we bought 9 gallons of paint, 5 exterior and 4 interior. I can't believe the quality of the paint. This is an exceptional resource in our community. They provide opportunities for businesses to reduce waste & achieve recognition for their efforts. They also provide education activities & related waste/recycling field trips to school children. Though BRING has 'Recycling' in it's name, their focus is on Reuse & items that can be Re-purposed. Recyclable items can be taken to the nearby county transfer facility/'The Dump' in Glenwood. They have a list on their website of items.
Awesome selection and the team there is fantastic!
If only I could access the "Employee Claim Area" that is STACKED full of great stuff I would love it. When purchasing 2 x 4s and 2 x 6s the employee ringing me up said "oh dang I didn't make it to this stack!" The next trip I started gathering great wood only to be told that those items were claimed by employees. I ended up leaving because I couldn't find any other cohesive wood for an 8 by 6 outdoor playhouse.
I went to donate something with a lot of metal to recycle. I was treated very rudely and told that if he couldn't sell he didn't want my donation. I asked the question of recycling the metal. After a long mansplation, I left with the impression that it's a resale place.
