We’re so grateful to BrightStar and their therapist Gurman for the support she’s given our daughter and our family. Our daughter came in struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, and ADHD-related challenges that made her life quite difficult to navigate. As a health care professional, I highly recommend Bright Star Counselling as a referral resource for children with complex mental health needs. It is a large clinic with several experienced therapists who work with a wide range of clinical presentations.
Our counsellor was Manjima Salim. My son worked with her from the Fall of 2025 to February 2026. In our final session, a joint session, she was incredibly unprofessional. I could tell immediately her tone was off, she was standoffish, and not her usual self. She stated half way through the appointment that she didn’t realize it was going to be a joint appointment (my son forgot to inform her).
