Starting in fall of 2022, my kid had psychotic breaks that required treatment at a residential mental health facility. There were few programs that would even consider him. He’d been violent during the psychotic breaks. I ended up paying $30K for 2 therapists to fly in, pick up from acute psych ward and drive to Bridge House (BH) in Farmington UT. I have worked here for quite a few years, as it is a great place. Not only to work, but in what they do for the residents. I have worked in other facilities, and I have yet to see any others come close to this. They all tout "individualized", and that is a hard thing to do. Here it is done. The safety here is more important than other facilities. I constantly get to hear updates about the success of residents after they leave. That is practically unseen anywhere else. I worked at Bridgehouse and quit because I felt that besides the psych techs and nurses, quality of care was dangerously low, insomuch that I worried about liability with my nursing license because of things required or not required of me. The place is run by wealthy social workers, with little regard to the medical side of treatment and therefore are not knowledgeable enough to be making life altering decisions on behalf of patients.
