I have been working with The Bridge Breast Network for about a month, and my experience has been nothing but frustrating. I’ve submitted paystubs and every document they requested, yet they kept going back and forth — one day saying I qualify, the next day saying I don’t. Most recently, they told me my family “makes too much” to qualify, even though we are a family of five surviving on $3,000 a month. I lost my insurance in Jan. 2025 while I was in the midst of dealing with a breast issue. After contacting Bridge I was hopeful I would get some help with the cost of the MRI guided biopsy and then the surgery that I need. I mentioned that I could pay for some of it. Millions are donated to charity for breast cancer to bridge breast. Yet American citizens are turned away when self employed. Yet, undocumented immigrants get approved and self employed is not an issue. Make it make sense.
