I was treated very well from registration to check out. Everyone was very professional and focused. Dr. Shafer was direct and answered all my questions. I feel very confident with the diagnosis and projections of surgery and recovery. For a large group i was impressed with the efficiency.
Yes I would. Dr. Shafer has always been very professional, honest and detailed. He replaced my shoulder 14 months ago and it has allowed me to return to my normal very active lifestyle.
Dr. Shafer is incredibly personable, kind and caring. In addition to his pleasant bedside manner he is very thorough in both his examination and explanation of a treatment plan. I left his office totally confident that I will do well under his care.
Dr Shafer is extremely attentive to your needs and discusses everything thoroughly. When your visit is over, you know what happened during the visit and what will happen going forward.

This was my first visit with Dr. Shafer and I was very pleased with the care I received. He was courteous and compassionate.
I saw Dr. Shafer in late 2020 for a nagging shoulder problem, something I should have addressed years earlier. He was very thorough in his assessment and outlook on surgery and rehab. The surgery went very well and his follow up, personal approach and attention to details was excellent. He genuinely cared about my case with a goal of getting me back doing my lifestyle activities without any shoulder pain.
Have been seeing Dr Shafer for past few years with my knee problem. Does a great job and very happy with him.
I would highly recommend Dr Shafer. He believes in trying PT before surgery as an option if at all possible. After being told I needed rotator cuff surgery by another ortho doctor, Dr Shafer suggested I try PT as in my case 75% of people with my tears can recover with PT. After 9 weeks of PT I am released without having to have surgery! He listens and has his patients best interest in mind.
