I have had carpal Tunnel surgery on both hands, awesome results
I saw Dr Blackburn due to pain, weakness and tingling in my right leg. After my MRI, he diagnosed me with spinal stenosis and went over several options. He explained the surgery process thoroughly. I opted to try pain management shots. Those shots were moderately effective, but after 8 months I opted to have the surgery. Dr Blackburn performed a spinal fusion at L3-L4. Dr Blackburn did fusion of lower spine in August 2024. Today I have final clearance and cannot thank Dr Blackburn and his staff for the care and satisfaction of being able to walk with no pain. I am a senior and was concerned about this procedure but Dr Blackburn carefully walked me through the good and bad and I have no regrets. Thank You Dr Balckburn !
I cannot say enough postitive things about Dr. Blackburn. Truly I was so impressed by his patience and willingness to be conservative with treatments until it became necessary not to be. More importantly he was incredibly patient and gave me the space I needed to make hard decisions, while still talking me to through the process and answering every question I had (probably repatatively!). Every negative outcome Dr. Blackburn told me about came true. He gave me a surgical incision infection that almost killed me. I got a urinary tract infection from the catheter they forgot to take out which I was stuck using for 3 months. However the uti helped identify the sepsis I got from the surgical infection. After everything was done there was absolutely no improvement in walking. I still can't walk. If I could give him a negative star I would. Good news for him the operation cost $250k.
