I injured my knee with a fall. I had seen Dr. Bjerke before for an injury of a dislocated finger and knew he would be the one I see if ever I injured my knees or hips. I also have worked with him in surgery at Fairview Southdale Hospital as an OR nurse and always found him to be very professional, friendly, and he is an excellent surgeon. He is thorough, listens, is kind, and allows you to also decide what or how you want your care to entail which is important to me.
I waited in the room for close to 45 minutes for the doctor without anyone checking in, I ended up going out to the nurses station, just to be told "Oh yeah, he's running behind today." Then when he came in the room he was very short and unapologetic about the situation. Then told me what the problem was and that he couldn't help me and I should go back to my primary doc even though it's an orthopedic issue...would never recommend this doctor or the practice to anyone. I found Dr Bjerke to be very accommodating. I called for my first appointment and was offered one that day by the staff when I explained the situation. He and his staff were courteous and helpful . I arrived a few minutes early and was seen on time. He answered my questions readily and fully. I would recommend him and his staff to my friends and colleagues.
Fantastic and caring surgeon. Very thorough and extremely professional. He also has a great support staff. Would recommend him all day long.
Dr Bjerke is very friendly and competent and does a great job. He has helped me immensely with both of my knees.
This has been a wonderful experience. I am able to walk, ice skate, x country ski and keep up with my grandchildren. Dr. Bjerke was great, care exceptional.

I would highly recommend Dr. Bjerke to everyone I know. I had full trust in his recommendation for shoulder surgery and I am very happy with the outcomes. He has helped me to get back to playing DII baseball and my shoulder feels more stable now then ever. He does a great job at explaining the situation and going over all options available as well as what he recommends. He is very willing to work with athletes and their families. He is a great doctor and truly cares about his patients.
