I had my hip replaced with Dr. Nickel about 2 months ago. The experience at East Madison Hospital was excellent. Having the procedure done under spinal anesthesia was a fantastic way to do it. The block was smooth and painless. I was clear headed when I woke up in recovery, and I felt prepared to go home the same day after PT and OT came to visit. Recently Dr. Nickel gave me a new hip. If anyone is in need of hip or knee replacement you need to see the very best surgeon Dr. Nickel. Not only is he a great surgeon, his “Bed Side Manner” is outstanding. Plus he has an amazing Staff.
