I had my hip replaced with Dr. Nickel about 2 months ago. The experience at East Madison Hospital was excellent. Having the procedure done under spinal anesthesia was a fantastic way to do it. The block was smooth and painless. I was clear headed when I woke up in recovery, and I felt prepared to go home the same day after PT and OT came to visit. excellent skilled surgeon!! personable knowledgeable supportive compassionate my husband had a knee replacement last summer and without Dr. Nickel's skill knowledge and caring his total experience would not have been a positive one!! many thanks to him and his support staff! would refer family members and friends without hesitation!!
