I loved my experience with both Doctors! Jeff Nance delivered my first baby and was awesome! He always listened and addressed my concerns. I never had a question go unanswered. Will definitely go back for baby #2!

Dr Bennett was my delivering doctor for my first child. I had been in the hospital for 30 hours. She never came to examine me though she had the time. She instructed the nurses to have me push without ever seeing me herself. After hours of pushing she only came in to see me before her shift change and finally examined me and confirmed that my cervix was not cleared and I was not fully dilated and due to her negligence I then had to have an emergency c-section. #1 BAD LISTENER. He said I’m on “too many meds”. I said I’d had a consult at a high-risk clinic for that reason, & the doc said my meds were safe. Astle doubled down, said I was on too many meds (not that the meds I’m on aren’t safe during pregnancy… I think he knew they were… just that he didn’t like how many). #2 INSENSITIVE/CONDESCENDING TOWARDS MENTAL HEALTH BATTLES. I didn't have a great experience with the Nances. Dr. Jeff Nance was always such a pleasure to see, but I didn't have that experience with Dr. Steven Nance. He always came across as cold. When i was in labor in the hospital, Dr. Steven Nance was on call and he was called over 2 hours before I had my son, but he still missed the birth. He then strolled into the room without making any eye contact, sewed me up, then walked out saying "congratulations" without looking back. I went to Dr. Benham with severe abdominal cramps and extreme nausea and vomiting, such that I was vomiting multiple times per day. He found an ovarian cyst and told me that due to my symptoms, it was likely an endometrioma (which is undiagnosable without surgery). He then proceeded to tell me I’d probably never be able to have kids and PRINTED the consent form for him to take my ovary DURING that same visit! Luckily, I didn’t sign it. Just the best, both his bedside manor and knowledge. I am new to the area and so happy I found Dr. Astle. I had surgery a week ago. I felt fully taken care of by him, the nurses and the anesthesiologist, Dr. Allen. I am so confident in his care.

He seemed like the only one at Valley Women’s Health that actually cared. He always makes sure I have my questions answered. The appointments never felt rushed like they did with other doctors there

I think considering the time and age we live in it’s hard to think that people forget the part where we need to have a tonality that reflects the desire to serve. Worst customer service ever, when an already emotionally sensitive pregnant woman comes in to meet the doctor and is greeted with no tact and snooty short unkind gestures it’s hard to believe it’s not a reflection of the kind of treatment the Dr. may have. He came highly recommended yet the staff was nothing short of primitive and disgraceful.
