About this business

I was drawn to medicine and Orthopaedic surgery as a result of my personal experience as an Orthopaedic patient when I was in high school. I believe this has helped me to become a more compassionate and empathetic physician. My goal with you as a patient is to help you understand your Orthopaedic diagnosis and all of the possible treatments, both non-operative and surgical, for this problem. Once this is done, we together can decide what is the best possible treatment option for you. When we make this partnership, outcomes a... read more

Dr. White performed a successful total hip replacement on my severely injured hip. I truly appreciate his sincere pre- and post-op care, his excellent ability to explain my options and the procedure, and his meticulous attention to details. He and his entire staff treated me with respect and I felt very comfortable and confident with the care I received. At three months post-op, my hip feels fantastic and I am able to enjoy many of the activities I love to do such as cycling, hiking, and golf.

Some days I could hardly walk a block due to the pain in my hip. My research and local doctor visits told me it was most likely my labrum. I researched the treatment and found information on Dr White and his over 2000 labral reconstructions. He reviewed my information and discussed it with me on the phone as I live in Des Moines, Iowa. I made an appointment to see him on a Wednesday, had surgery on Thursday and flew home on Saturday. I was free of the labral pain the moment I woke up. After 6 months of PT I was back to livin... read more

Very nice. Knowledgeable. Dr. White took nearly an hour with my husband and myself explaining in detail our options for my bad hip.

Dr. White is phenomenal! He preformed a labral reconstruction on my hip after I hadn't been able to walk without pain for a year and a half. But now 6 months post-surgery, I am walking over 10,000 steps a day pain free and doing so many activities that I love. It is SO wonderful to be active again! Dr. White specializes in this particular surgery and is known for being one of the absolute best in the country. I cannot recommend him highly enough... his skills are exceptional, and he truly cares for his patients! I can't than... read more

Dr White did a labral reconstruction for my hip that was causing me severe limited mobility when it came to hiking, cycling and doing outdoor activities I am now six months out from surgery and nearly back to all my activities and am pain free. I cannot recommend him enough as his level of care is excellent.

For anyone considering surgery with Dr. White, I just wanted to do an update review as I feel like many reviews on these sites are done within a fairly close timeframe after surgery (including my first one). I am now 2.5 years out from surgery and my hip still feels GREAT! I'm still SO grateful to Dr. White for giving me back my quality of life. If you are considering, surgery with him you are in good hands!

Dr. White is what's wrong with healthcare. He ran INCREDIBLY late, because obviously his time was WAY more important than mine...He is also a pay to play surgeon requiring cash up front for surgery. From what I've gathered the hip arthroscopy surgery can lead to hip instability and eventual hip replacement. So basically he's padding his practice for future procedures. Way too much ego from a surgeon who does elective surgery that isn't life saving. Stay Away!

Dr. Brian White saved my leg. I’m very active in my middle age and ran a lot. I started to develop severe hip pain suddenly, to the point I could barely walk. I saw Dr. Derek Johnson and he refused to do an MRI, told me I had a torn labrum with basically no diagnostics. He did an injection and sent me to intensive PT. After several weeks, the PT’s and I were very worried that it seemed to be getting worse. I demanded an MRI and got one (btw, his practice did the MRI and did the wrong hip! Ugh!). He then completely misread th... read more

If you or someone you love needs hip treatment, don't go to anyone else. Dr. White has pioneered an arthroscopic labral reconstruction procedure to treat the damage caused by FAI. Of course he treats other hip conditions as well. And if you happen to be a patient who also suffers from CRPS, Dr. White is not afraid of you. He is not afraid to operate on you. He knows the anesthesiologists that will augment with ketamine and he will request them for your surgery. I have spent an unfortunate amount of time in the medical machin... read more
