I had misgivings about doing my knee replacement in a hospital as small as Hayward. Now, I wouldn't have it done anywhere else. Dr. Donohue is an extremely well experienced and competent surgeon. Dr. Donoghue cared for me while he practiced in suburban Chicago. He informed me obut the surgery and recovery, answered all of my questions, and performed successful surgery.

I am usually skeptical about surgery (because I understand that hospitals are a business as well as being a caregiver), so I was glad to hear from Dr. Donahue that surgery for my knee was "optional". I decided to take his advice and have him do a meniscus repair (and other things) even having read that it may not help in older people. I could not be happier with the care I was given and the results. No pain after the procedure (or anytime) and back to near normal in 10 days! I would highly recommend him (and his staff).

I would recommend Dr. Donahue to anyone, including any member of my family. He was professional and knowledgeable with a wonderful bedside manner. He was very patient with me once we had the MRI results and decisions had to be made. He has a sports ortho background too which I appreciate as I am very active and he understood getting active soon was important to me. Dr. Donahue repaired my broken tibia and fibula. The tibia was in pieces. He explained the injury and what needed to be done in a professional and friendly manner. He took the time to call my husband at home to explain the situation due to COVID restriction. The surgery went very well. At the follow up appointments he explained how my healing was progressing and he took the time to answer my questions. His staff was also friendly and professional. I have and would strongly recommend Dr. Donahue!

Dr. Donahue was thorough, patient, and took the time to explain everything to me. I was very anxious about my fall injury and he calmed me down. I went to the ER in the evening and he saw me the next morning and scheduled surgery within 3 days.

the care I got from dr. Donahue was great, within 4 days of meniscus surgery I was walking 5 miles a day, my knee feels great. I would recommend him for any orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Donahue is the best. He did surgery on my ankle which was broken in three places. I was actually able to resume running after surgery and PT! I have returned to see him for other issues, and he is very kind, caring and always listens to my concerns.
