She was not helpful from the beginning. When she was told my mothers medication wasn’t working she offered up 5 alternatives and said they had varying side affects. When asked how they would interact with her other meds she said that she wasn’t sure but would have to look that up. She was then asked if she could look that up which seemed to annoy her. Dr shahbabian, is the best doctor I ever known. He did three bone fusion on me. Other doctors said I wiuld not be able to have range of motion. He encouraged me to me that I would and I do. My surgeries started in 2000, every time someone would hit me in my car it affected my my neck. I I went to him and he fixed me. He told me my own bones would be better. First of all, he is very unfriendly. But the issue that will keep me from returning is when I saw him he mentioned 2 different possible diagnosis. I forgot to ask him what to do not do so when I got home I googled both. Both had PAGES of instructions, none of which he had mentioned. Things he could have easily instructed. Like ice the knee several times a day. Wear a supportive shoe. Rest for 4-6 weeks. Certain exercises to do. Really? Dr. Shahbabian is the best without exception. He operated on my back in 2004. He is known worldwide as a neurosurgeon.
Never feel rushed in or out. Always able to discuss things with the Doctor.
