Dr. Bjerke and his staff and physical therapists have provided me the highest quality of care. I ruptured my patellar tendon in December of last year and Dr. Bjerke was able to meet with me the next day and get me in for surgery the day after . It is now three months later and I have been cleared to cease using the remaining knee brace. Throughout this process, I received excellent and fully integrated care at every point of contact.
I have felt better after every appointment. Very happy with the outcomes and treatment I have received
For his age, as astute and caring as any care giver I have had the opportunity to engage. Explored every possible option in hopes of finding a solution while avoiding surgery because the structure and condition of the knee appeared to be fine. Asked me to strongly consider hip injection into arthritic hip, suspecting that pain in the knee was resonating from the hip. It worked and almost two years of pain was eliminated. I am so thankful to Dr. Bjerke and his wonderful staff.
This is a follow-up to a previous survey I took regarding my visit to Dr. Bjerke for an evaluation of an ankle injury incurred while exercising. It does not matter that Dr. Bjerke disregarded the cause of my injury, he did not give me a diagnosis of what my injury was, he did not tell me that the xrays verified I DO NOT have arthritis as he GUESSED, but he did not hesitate to send me a very large bill with a tiny discount for his incompetence.
I was referred for a dislocated shoulder. My 1st app't was very rushed, perhaps due to him being 1/2hr late in seeing me. He said I should have an MRI on my next visit;when I went to the next visit, expecting an MRI, I was told I should schedule that day! I had the MRI on Wed and hadn't heard from him by Fri so I called, to be told he was away, and he'd get to me on Mon. I protested, and he called me later. He's a Very bad communicator. I know nothing of his diagnostic or surgical skills.
I saw Dr. Bjerke for evaluation of an exercise injury to my ankle. Dr. Bjerke entered the exam room, asked me what had happened and, upon hearing my description of my injury and without examining my ankle, said it looks like arthritis. I couldn't believe my ears! When I told Dr. Bjerke that I do not have arthritis and am in perfect health, he asked if I had a problem with gout, again before even examining my ankle! A diagnosis without exam and total disregard for my injury!
