horrible experience. claims to do therapy, but is clearly just a doctor that prescribes serious controlled substances without hesitation. Has zero compassion to clients. treats people like labrats and tries various meds with zero concern for their safety. I was his patient for over 6 months and only had one telehealth appointment.
Terrible.
Horrible. Don't know how he's still practicing. He functions as a pill dispensary; you'll end up with more problems than when you started. Stay away from him; find a real doctor.
He is absolutely wonderful I would never not give him a five star review I don’t know why anybody would ever give him less. He spends a full hour is an actual psychiatrist and is very kind.
I have been under the care of Dr. Babiak for years. Visits with him are like talking with an old friend. I disagree with reviews that complain about his response to request for refills or any other complaint. He explains the process and there are rules. Follow the clear cut directions and ask will be fine.
This dr prescribed me medication, then went MIA when it was time for refills and to fill out paperwork for my pcp. When he did finally correspond, he had no concern what-so-ever for me as a patient, argued that I was even under his care and immediately cut off all prescriptions and cancelled all future appointments. It took months to withdrawl from his medications.
I think he's great. Your appointments with him will be very relaxed, you won't get 'White Coat Syndrome' with him; you won't feel like you're talking to a doctor at all. If you're not good with computers, you might be frustrated, he uses technology to deal with the appointments, billing, and refills. If you need a refill, just email him with a few days notice. If you meet the legal qualifications, you can Facetime/Skype with him. You can pay your copay with Paypal, or even Bitcoin. Book your appointment online, it will save ... read more
Enjoy working with him he was my doctor a year and a half
I haven't seen him enough to have a full opinion of his character, but I have complaints about accessibility issues. He uses finicky and often confusing software to schedule appointments and to make payments. He also has no waiting room or shelter or signage outside his office. I couldn't get in contact with him for months and he never returned the messages I left. One plus is that he doesn't draw out the process of prescribing medication, assuming you already have a sense of what ails you.
