Dr. Parra refused my referral from my pain Doctor. Not much of a Urologist when he can not take on a complicated testicle problem.
Very quick to answer questions, doesn't want to listen to your questions just wants to tell you what he thinks and push you out the door. No very friendly and doesn't seem to care about your questions or concerns. Seems like he doesn't have "time" to talk with you about your health concerns unless he is talking. I would not recommend him or even The Woodlands.
11-2-16. After waiting four days for Dr.Parra to respond to a fax request from Public Pharmacy Gulf Breeze for a prescription of androgen. I went to Woodlands to try to pick-up the prescription. I had already called ahead and told his nurse Pam that I was out of my daily dosage of androgel and didn't want to wait till maybe monday (seven days} and would stop in Woodlands and pick up the script. I have had prostate cancer and received radiation seeding at Shans. HE WANTS THREE WEEKS TO RESPOND
Both my husband and I are patients of Dr Parra. My husband had prostate cancer and Dr Parra did the surgery. Dr Parra is truly everything you could wish for in a specialist doctor and all our dealings with him have been beyond satisfactory. He is very careful to explain everything in detail and his 'bedside manner' is caring, thorough and thoughtful. He remembers his patients and always makes me feel like he is truly our family doctor with our best interest always at the forefront.
Had a vasectomy done through Dr Parra and he was top notch every step of the way - from the original consultation to making the actual procedure comftorable.
