After my beloved neuro retired I had little success & some severe disappointments with a replacement until I saw YouTube videos from Dr Beaber. He's very accessible & I was face to face in a very short time. He's exactly like he is on YouTube. Easily approachable, interested, attentive, patient, super knowledgeable but not pushy & in love with with his craft & its study which is priceless! An overall breath of fresh air. He listened & asked (omg!) to hear my stories & experiences from onset, lock in, death, resuscitated & lif... read more

After a diagnosis of MS for 10* years, bouts of optic neuritis, lesions on my brain, he told me I did not have MS, that it was in my head. I have since had a spinal tap and evoked potentials. Guess what? I have MS. Arrogant and dismissive. Let’s be honest, the best and brightest don’t work at Kaiser.

Business response:

Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave you feedback, we would like to learn more about your visit. Please contact us at kpdowney@kp.org at your earliest convivence.

I saw Dr Beaber to see what he thought of my receiving IV solumedrol each month to prevent MS flare ups. I was diagnosed 28 years ago and am 70 years old. He had his mind made up even before I saw him. He told me he is 100 percent positive that I do not have MS and I have a Conversion Disorder.. he is very arrogant for a young doctor and would not listen to me or take into consideration the other MS specialists I have seen. I have been seeing another Kaiser neurologist for 18 years that always have listed MS as my diagnosis.... read more

Dr. Beaber really cares for his patients. He takes time to listen and asks relevant questions to get to the bottom of my medical condition. His schedule is always booked but he makes it a conscious effort to accommodate his patients periodic office visit. In my case, every 12 weeks. From what I heard from the other staff in Kaiser's Neurology department, he would sometimes extend his clinic hours, unlike other doctors who will ask the patients to reschedule if they show up late.

I really don’t know where to begin with this man but I was recently diagnosed with a demyelinating disease and I understand it’s their job to find the problem and help out but he did beyond that. One of the most down to earth doctors you’ll ever have, very patient, professional, and hands down one of the best neurologists in the field for these types of diseases. The guy is more than just a specialist with demyelinating diseases, he’s a master.

Hands down the best Neurologist I've had. I've have MS for 15 years now. Dr Beaber has been the most Thorough and proactive neurologist that I've had. Remembers everything about me when I see him once a year and is very prompt with any requests or questions I have.

Diagnosed me with "conversion disorder," ie: it's all in my head, without any tests other than basic reflexes. Turns out I have a nerve that's pinched in two places! Next time actually do your job instead of passing it off to someone else because you're too lazy to figure out what's wrong and so arrogant that you'd rather blame it on the patient than admit your ignorance. Jerk.
