I've lived here (one of your properties - Cahaba Grandview in Birmingham, AL) for over 6 years and like my apartment. But through no fault of my own, two separate water leaks caused BLACK MOLD to grow inside my walls and likely underneath the floor as well. Management hired an environmental consultant to assess the situation and give them a plan. And they promised to make things right. But now 11 months later, they have done nothing. So it appears they have reneged on their promise to follow professional recommendations to m... read more

This company just bought the property I've been living in for 9 years. They buy the property, they do absolutely nothing with the property, they raise rent. Why? Greed. DO NOT RENT FROM ANY PROPERTY OWNED BY ASSET LIVING. They don't care about you, they only care about taking your money. My rent never went up in 9 years with the last company. It's been a month since Asset Living bought the property, already raising rates. GREEDY BUSINESS.

I have ask for a lock change, pest control, a tub due to just painted over. I return homes at times items missing or damaged. Comparison on rental price among other residence are less than a studio. The studio is not completed as built as far as kitchen and bathroom. Tears in floor I don't have a lot of energy to bend and cut floors. Water stays cold for weeks and hot water, you never know when you might have some to clean properly. Light bill is outrageous with no meter. Your paying for the property renovations instead of t... read more

Asset Living manges North Star Apartments in Dallas Texas. Our neighbors who have multiple children lost their AC and it was down for 4 days and the complex refused to help them. It’s literally 105 degrees out and no window units were dropped off or anything and it’s been days. We stopped by the office so many times and we were told they are busy or “didn’t have the keys”. This is dangerous and inhumane. We bought and installed a window unit (which we won’t be refunded for) and when Dallas Code Compliance came the apartment ... read more

I am having extreme difficulty with this new owner of the apartment complex. I have paid my final bill and now they want more. I turned in my keys on May 31st and didn't do it sooner since they were closed Monday. They close way too early to discuss anything with them and they never know what is happening. They also never fixed the leaking issue in my apartment. I gave more than necessary notice no lease non-renewal. Also they never did anything about the mail theft and the revolving door of employees was amazing.

Worst company ever doesn’t take care of properties and don’t even have all of the certifications needed to rent rooms

The management company has an F rating with BBB and they have tried to obfuscate who they are, there is your first red flag. I came to the BBB to share my experiences with Asset Management, a.k.a. Asset Living, a.k.a. Asset Plus Properties, who knows how many other names they have used or are using. I first had the misfortune of dealing with this company after I needed to move on short notice. I signed a lease at Pointe San Marcos in July of 2018, and was assigned a room at that time. On move in day, someone else had beat me... read more
