Unethical Business Practices They told me and put in writing that two bolts on my rear caliper needed to be re-thread. I took my car to another mechanic and saw that the bolts were not re-thread and were not even new. Don't be fooled by the ads It sounded too good to be true, and it was. I thought I would get my brakes changed for $79, but that's only if you have drum brakes. When are they going to give discbrakers a break? It cost me $177, but the person on the phone offered me a $10 discount when I whined about my useless coupon. I brake for good service. When my squealing brakes told me it was time to take my car into the shop, I chose the Brake Masters on Lincoln because of its proximity to my place of employment. Fortunately, I didn't sacrifice good service and affordability for convenience.
