They conduct their exams by phone. I much prefer to be with my pet when the vet examines him. They are no longer less expensive than the competition. When I questioned why my cat's claws were not trimmed, the answer was "We were busy. You can come back if you want." Right.

RecommendedDr. Dutton was wonderful when I had to bring my dog in for an emergency visit this afternoon then ended with emergency surgery.

Dr. Dutton and his staff are absolutely the best!!! So caring and loving. My standard poodle walks in like he’s at grandma’s house 🐾❤️🐾...all excited!! Prices reasonable too!! Highly recommend!!!
I am absolutely amazed by this wonderful animal hospital! The people that work here are truly there for the animals, and not for money. We thought our dog tore his ACL. The day we went in for surgery, the vet took Xrays and told us the dog’s ACL looked great and just has bad arthritis. His honesty and professionalism blew us away! The prices there are also beyond reasonable. We are so happy with Brainerd Animal Hospital- we will never go anywhere else!
They've cared for my pets since I moved to Brainerd. They are kind and I trust them.
