My 8 year old son just finished 6 weeks of MeRT, and everyone has noticed such big changes, especially his ABA therapists! Sierra, who administered the treatment, was so great with him, and he felt really comfortable with her. It was also refreshing to not feel like the doctors were just in it for the money—they were really transparent and said that if we didn’t see changes after a certain amount of time, we should stop the treatment. I can’t express how grateful I am for MeRT. Like many parents, I was nervous and unsure about taking my autistic son there, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve made. Over the course of the 6-week program, I watched my son go from being completely nonverbal to actually singing. It was beyond what I could have hoped for. I did my research and Brain Treatment Center North Austin is indeed the lowest price MeRT provider in the world. I spoke with Dr. Do and he said his aim is to open up access to the people who really need it. I commend him for that. Aside, the staff here are very kind and welcoming. If you are in the area, I highly recommend. Even if you aren't in the area, it may be worth it to fly to Austin depending on your circumstances.
