Visiting Boston, and in need of a haircut. Fingers crossed. I made an appointment with Evan. Allure magazine listed Bradley and Diegel as the best salon for a haircut. I agree, Evan gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever had. Highly recommend this Salon.
I have to agree with Alice A. My husband had the WORST haircut ever with Diegel. He seems to set the tone lacking in emotional intelligence and runs the place like a prison ward. I have never been to a salon where most of the employees 'cannot stand' the person they work for. As is the case with Diegal. Be careful, this place comes with a lot of arrogant hype! Only one who is unusual is DIrk Diegel, and he is tempermental and limited- Vidal Sassoon trained, precision cut all he can do. Dirk keeps getting awards because of the DIRTH of DECENT haircutters in this one horse town. I remember DD when he could only speak German, if he spoke at all. OVERPRICED, assistants and junior stylists run of mill, coloring horrible. MUST HAVE FRIENDS AT BEST OF BOSTON.
Favorite Haircut Salon on Newbury (so far)! – Love this salon. Came here almost a year ago, but still remember the great experience. Definitely the best part is the deep scalp massage when they shampoo+condition your hair, plus you're already in a massaging chair (but nothing beats good massaging hands!) My actual haircut was done by Laurie - she was super nice and did a great job listening to what I wanted done with my hair. Great highlights – Lynn does the best highlights I've ever had - really capturing a difficult hue for a demanding client. She's so talented, meticulous and incredibly real in an industry full of fakes.
Alex is amazing ! – I receieve Daily Candy and they highlighted a special conditioning treatment offered at Bradley & Diegel Salon. I figured I would give it a try. Alex was my stylist & I was impressed with her immediately. Intelligent ,experienced & kind. She convinced me that I would be happier with the end product of the keratin treatment & she was so right. Finally, someone who really understands curly hair. – I'm thrilled to have found someone who listens to what I want on MY head. Maite really knows how to work with curly hair. She can style it naturally in a polished way or blowdry it out as smooth as silk. My cut was beautiful and has lasted much longer than I expected. I loved that I learned more about how to care for my hair and what I was doing wrong. I'm looking forward to my next appointment.
WORST HAIRCUT OF MY LIFE – Based on all the reviews I booked an appointment with Dirk and have never been so sorry in my life. I don't know who the people are giving good reviews. Yes the salon is nice but it doesn't make up for a horrible haircut. I was lectured on how to take care of my hair and given a choppy uneven mess that will take at least 6 months to grow out.
