Incredible physician. Has been so helpful and supportive with my daughter’s dysautonomia syndrome. Very calm and personable demeanor. Highly recommend!
Signed off on a report that my son didn't have a cchd when he actually was diagnosed about two weeks later by uva!!!!! And he had heart surgery when they said he didn't even have it!!!!! And they suggested that I was crazy!!! Don't trust vcu!! This physician is part of the reason my son's cardiologist (at the time) believed he didn't have a cchd.
There is a real reason Dr McQuilkin has 5 stars across the board no matter where you look. He is simply an incredible doctor. He takes as little or as much time as you need him to. My daughters school was giving us issues and he wrote a note, and stated that if they didn’t like it or follow what the note stated that he would personally call and they would not like what he had to say. Dr. McQuilkin was absolutely wonderful explaining my daughter’s diagnosis to us and how to manage moving forward. He was compassionate and caring and I highly recommend him if you are looking for a pediatric cardiologist.
The most patient, understanding and thorough pediatric cardiologist we've ever seen. Never met a physician so calm. Dr. McQuilkin doesn't get in a hurry with any of his patients and makes sure you understand all the details of his plan before leaving the examination room. Highly recommend his office off Pump Road. Finding parking at St. Mary's Hospital can be exhausting. My daughter always looks forward to seeing him. If you are looking for a pediatric cardiologist in the Richmond area. Look no further.
