Dr. black is an excellent surgeon. Not only did he do an amazing job installing the plate and six screws in my ankle (my X-rays show his meticulous work), but my scar is almost non-existent 6 weeks after surgery since he stitched inside using dissolving stitches instead of using staples or external stitches. Right before my surgery in the hospital I was asking the nurses if he was good, and they said that's who they would use if they needed orthopedic surgery. Dr. Black is a wonderful dr. Very patient and informative. Also his assistant who is Erin is absolutely great, she also is very helpful in regards to questions. I will go to her any time I would need help with question and honesty. Thank you Erin and Dr. Black
Dr Black was egregiously late for every appt., even when it was the first of the day. He was rude, condescending, and dismissive. I usually expect a doctor's visit to seem rushed, but it was as if he had more important things to do. He moved surgery to a different hospital that wasn't covered by my insurance (found out later) and he was so late for the surgery, staff was apologizing all over the place and gave me a Starbucks card! Seen for a consultation, felt he could have been more compassionate and direct more attention to the patient. Heard more about his weight & his wifes numerous surgeries than needed. Would not go back.
