We have been here 4 months and my husband has used the clinic and also gone to Bay Pine to see doctors. Both places have treated us fine. You have to realize there are a lot of Veterans that use the Outpatient Clinic so you will have times you will wait longer than other times. Bay Pine really have their appointments organized. We had 4 appointments in one day and it went like clock work. I have gone to outside doctors and waited for hours to see a doctor and then rescheduled because the dr is tied up in an emergency. I have always talked positive about my clinic. Too bad budget cuts have taken hold. downsize staffing for the lab, and here I am at 1hr and 15 minutes just to have blood drawn. What are they going to do when season hits ?
Difficult to get in contact with. Most of the providers are so busy with patients that you get a appointment months out. If you call and request a appointment 90% of the time they do not return the call or will call and tell you it's not necessary...
Lady at the front desk refused to notify the lab I had a lab sample to give them. She told me to have a seat a wait for someone from the lab to come out to the waiting room. I told her it’s 2 pm, no one from the lab is going to come to the waiting room. After waiting for more than 20 minutes I ask one of the Mental health staff if they could let me into the lab to drop off my lab sample. They told me to check in with the front desk.
