I saw Dr. Brackmann in person on at least three occasions (and have had several phone calls with him) and yet, each visit with him felt like starting from zero. Despite providing full medical documentation (that his staff made copies of on my first in person visit) he would forget some major parts of my case every time I saw him. I have had many conversations with Dr Brackmann since 2001 regarding an acoustic neuroma,,,as I live in N J ,,,till today I am doing fine And on visiting my grandson two years ago in LosAngeles. I had the pleasure of meeting him face to face ,,,,a fine caring and gentle man. bless him and his family
He performed surgery on me that other surgeons would not even try and it was totally successful. He spent time with me and was very kind and compassionate. We are still in contact even after all these years past my surgery. There is no more talented and caring doctor than Dr. Brackmann. He literally saved my life!
I've had telephone conversations with Doctor Brackmann for abut 12 years regarding my acoustic neuroma. He has given freely of his time and explained the diagnosis, it implications and the possible courses of treatment. Another doctor misguided me and wanted to take extreme measures after first being diagnosed. I had stenosing external Otis in both ears. It’s gradual filling of the ear canal with fibrous resulting in significant hearing loss. He operated on both ears and stopped the loss. Forever forward when evaluated by another hearing specialist that person would be in awe that I had such surgery by Dr Brackmann. The best recognition of respect.
Dr. Brackmann saved my life by removing a left facial nerve tumor that was following the cranial nerve into my brain. He then grafted healthy nerve tissue into the portion of my left facial nerve that had to be removed. I had been a hotel showroom orchestra trombone player in Las Vegas and Dr. Brackmann gave me the sad news that I would never play again, with compassion and understanding. I saw Dr. Brackman 25 years ago he was the only one that finally diagnosed me correctly. It is because of this wonderful kind man I am no longer suffering from vertigo. He is a one of a kind gentleman for whom I will forever be grateful to.
