Great storage unit and location. Close to the highway. The only thing that really really sucks about this place is they lock the gate after a certain time and it doesn’t open again until 7:00 in the morning. I own a construction company and I keep my tools and some materials here. I have to stop by there min 4 times every week to switch out different tools and it is super frustrating when I can’t get there till after hours or when I need to stop there at 6:00 am to grab materials or tools and it won’t open until 7:00 am. I did probably the same as anyone else would do and shopped around and do I need to? I was able to line up the rental of this unit and move in within a very, very short amount of time. I totally appreciate the hassle free service that they give at the Akron self storage. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone that I know needed storage! Very easy to set up online, and staff is prompt, professional, and kind. The website is well laid out. Prices are more than reasonable, including discounts for further away units! Jodie was incredibly helpful. She called me back within 5 minutes when I made an error on my application. 10/10 service.
Reserved, rented and paid all online. Was given clear instructions on how to get in the gate and access my unit...new lock was already inside the unit. Super simple and convenient for me to do everything online. Competitive rates, I would definitely recommend Akron Self Storage!
The storage lot is clean and the unit numbers are clearly visible and the people I meet were also nice. The only thing I wish is the gate could of been a little more drive in friendly that way u don't have to get out the car to enter the code. But other than that my storage unit was really clean but the locking part I always have trouble with but overall nice storage space.
