Boyd and his wife Kate Moody Boyd were large landowners and a prosperous farming family. They had many hundreds of acres of land from the present location to further up Hemphil Road. We have been getting our Christmas tree at Boyd Mountain for 6 years now...and we will never go anywhere else! Got our tree on opening weekend...and it still looks great!!! We LOVE the Boyds!

Hi. We are very sorry that you were disappointed in your experience. As you mentioned, the weather was terrible for choose and cut yesterday. Unfortunately, we had to close several of our areas where we had tagged trees for this year's selection yesterday. It simply was not safe for our guests or our workers, especially those with running chainsaws, to be on the steep slopes given the conditions. Safety must always be our first consideration. On our way home to Florida from Thanksgiving vacation in the mountains and picked out a beautiful Christmas tree. We had a great time and took lots of pictures of the beautiful scenery!!! Friendly staff with excellent customer service driven to make your experience wonderful!!! They even tied our Christmas tree to the back of our RV!!
Such a fun family tradition!!! The staff are so attentive and wonderful! We go every year and love all the new activities that we find! We always find our perfect Christmas tree! Highly recommended- love this place!!
My business partner Kristie and I had a great time! David and Darren were extremely friendly as were the crew who helped us load up a 20 footer for delivery back to our town square some 150 miles away in Dahlonega Georgia... Appreciate your hospitality! Save us a tree for next year!
Awesome place for families to go! Everyone that works there is so friendly. We go every year it's a tradition that we hope our kids will carry on with their children.

Been going here for 8 years now. Perfect small day trip.
The experience was wonderful. ..... until we had to wait 55 minutes in a line of cars to get the tree tied on. When my husband suggested 2 lanes, he also said we would never be back because of the disorganization. The worker answered, "That's OK, we don't need your business. " Well, ok. We'll be up the road next year. No shortage of farms!
