My clutch scattered right in front of his shop... Jr. was a godsend! Helped me out BIG TIME! Fair and honest guy. Had me back on the road the very next day.
The son junior and the father I believe his name is Jessie . Criminals ! I brought them brand new dealer parts . Flywheel , basket and clutch , all mopar . Spend close to 2k dollars . They installed LUKi instead . 20k miles in my clutch started slipping . I took down the transmission and realized they DID NOT install the parts I provided to them !! Junior is as honest a mechanic as I've met. He took time to investigate and diagnose the issue with my car while keeping me up to date with cost estimates throughout the process. I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again or recommend Box & Gear to friends.
The five stars is for the transmission I rebuilt. The transmission Box and Gear rebuilt only lasted 38k miles. Inspection revealed the converter was reused from a prior build which explained why so much debri was in the pan at a 5k service they did. No wonder they did the free service. Get me past the warranty period. Just about anything will last for the warranty period. Quick and dirty like the rest. You could have better luck with a junk yard transmission or Aamco
