Every time you call Bountiful City, you get a different person and a completely different answer. There’s no consistency, no notes left from previous conversations, and the staff who answer the phone are downright rude. It’s been a full year of dealing with constant miscommunication and frustration. Absolutely terrible experience.
These guys are absolutely terrible. Power is cheaper, sure, but I know for a certainty that I called to cancel service before I made my move to a new city, but I'm still getting power bills! When I called to inquire about why I'm still getting billed, the person (who I will not name because I don't want to ruin their character) I talked to was super condescending and treated me like I was stupid and was basically implying that I was a liar. This 1 star is just in regards to their payment system. They wont allow the customer service reps to take payment over the phone anymore, and make you use an annoying and frustrating automated phone system. Then to make a payment online they push you to a third part payment system that charges you fees to make a payment even if you use an echeck. It is only $1.25 for echeck but that is ridiculous to charge a fee to pay through a checking account. They also try to "encourage" you to pay with a credit card which has a 3% fee. ... read more
First and foremost, customer service is non existent. Terrible at communication within actual open hours and sadly, if living in bountiful, you’re stuck dealing with it. Will unfortunately be continuing said association with this company, but with a VERY different mindset towards this company, and it’s disrespect.
