I am very familiar with the therapists who comprise BPS. They are an outstanding group of individuals dedicated to their clients and their profession. If they are unable to assist a client, they will find someone outside their group who can provide appropriate services. They continually look for resources that will be of benefit to individuals who have placed their trust in them. Those seeking help will always find an empathetic and helpful ear at BPS.
Jan Hittelman was a tremendous help to me and my son when we were both struggling to understand his ADHD. He empowered my son to be an advocate for himself, while giving me the tools I needed to parent him more effectively. I continue to be amazed and enlightened by his knowledge, expertise and most all his compassion. I have referred many clients to Jan's website for help. They always come back thanking me for the success they experienced. I will always be grateful for his help.
I would not recommend Dr Hittlelman for academic and emotional evaluation. The report he gave us was filled with errors. He also did not follow up with one of our child's teachers after she clearly stated she did not know our child well enough to answer the questions. He failed to get academic records even after I talked to the school and they told me I had done my part. As a long time public school employee and a private practitioner I have consulted with Dr. Hittelman numerous times. As expected, Dr. Hittelman always insists on having signed permission forms completed before we discuss any clients, provides excellent assessments, uses only the most updated assessment instruments, and has always provided very comprehensive and professional reports.
