Botticelli's remarkably personifies Italian authenticity. The ambiance may not seem Italian though it's still quite classy and trendy. The staff here are quite friendly yet professional with their service. Apart from the exquisite dishes they have to offer, they have a rich beer garden. The atmosphere is pleasant enough to enable you to enjoy your meal. Moreover, they do have live music back in the beer garden. Everything here seems to be so perfect. Romantic dates are advisable.

great patio – did not eat other than apps but remember them being fine but the patio blew me away, a real hidden gem. never had a clue. we met friends for happy hour. cant say too much else
Chicago-style Italian fare like hoagie sandwiches and veal chops are served at this casual neighborhood bistro on Austin's hippest street. – In Short Tucked into the heart of South Congress Avenue, the restaurant's picture windows provide the perfect vantage point to watch the parade of passers-by. Guests opt to sit in the colorfully small and active dining room or the more subdued outdoor patio garden. Lunch offerings include salads and sandwiches, including the Chicago hoagies served on big, whole wheat bunds flown in twic... read more
Really like this place! – We have only been a few times, but each time we visit Botticelli's, we talk about how much we enjoyed it for days after. Can't say I have been very adventurous with the menu but the capellini with sausage dish is delicious and what I always order. The gnocchi appetizer is yummy! The focaccia is hit-or-miss...sometimes it's cold and hard and other times it's warm and delicious. Guess it just depends on the night! The service has been great with each of our visits. We definitely recommend this place t... read more
Pure deliciousness – Botticelli's is simply fantastic. We waited for about 10 minutes for our table of 4, only to discover a menu of tasty specialty bar drinks. For those who like a sweet drink, I recommend the special lemonade with raspberries. We started with the mussels that were perfectly cooked - we could not get enough of the flavor and had to get an extra side of bread to dip in the empty dish bowl. The pasta dishes were all pure deliciousness. My friend had one of the sandwiches and raved about it all night. And I mu... read more
I want to go back soon – I can't wait to go back to Botticelli's. The food was the best, esp. the speck with strawberries and the veal dish. The staff was very attentive and the ambience superb. The Chef is creating Italian I have never had the pleasure of experiencing, kudos to the Chef ! Be sure and try Botticelli's now before they get to busy ( and they will ).
FInally, good italian and good prices. – I have eaten here several times and have to say that I was very impressed with A) the excellent service B) the friendly owners C) the Chef's tasty Mussels and FANTASTIC whole fish (not to mention the Speck!) and D) the reasonable prices. There are several good italian places in town but their prices are too high to go there regularly. This is a great place to come, have several apps and some great! wine and enjoy the unbeatable atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!
The atmosphere is small, but the place is charming. The food is good, and the place was almost full to capacity at 7:30pm on a non-weekend day. Andrew and Matt know what they are doing since they have had extensive restaurant experience. Our waiter was great as he did have a playful side to him. I will return, and do recommend it!
Disappointing Meal – The focaccia that was supposedly right out of the oven tasted like it was a couple days old and had been left out. The butternut squash soup had very little taste and the piece of "garlic bread" was the consistency of a garlicky biscotti. The zuchinni, squash and tomatoes with the basic angel hair pasta weren't bad, but were hardly worth the price. The service was friendly but a bit slow. I would not recommend this place.
Absolutely Not Recommended – Don't bother with Botticelli's. I had the braised beef, and it was simply terrible. Absolutely nothing beeflike about it. Indeed, I can't say with certainty what it was I ate, but after having waited an hour I choked it all down. I also had a bit of the chocolate cake, which compared unfavorably to a year-old brownie from a truck-stop vending machine. The service was adequate, if very slow. The ambience was nice. But I went for the food, and the food was awful.
