This evening, I went to Bottega Louie in Downtown Los Angeles with friends and we ordered about 10 different dishes. Each one was excellent, and we were most fortunate to have Vic be the man who watched out for us. From the appetizers to the desserts, we were in heaven. The Senior Assistant General Manager, Ric Rodriguez, stopped by our table and invited us to return to try other superb dishes in the Dining Room. We celebrated our anniversary here, but the experience was just okay. Although we mentioned the occasion when booking, it wasn't acknowledged during our meal, which felt like a missed touch. The short rib was the highlight—tender and rich—while the carbonara was decent but heavier than expected and lacked flavor. Service was polite, but the timing between courses felt rushed.
What an amazing gem hidden in LA! We were in town for a wedding in June and needed a place to have lunch. While walking around looking for somewhere to eat, we noticed the desserts displayed in front of the restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. We also noticed that the pizzas looked really good from what other people were having, so we ordered the pepperoni pizza. It came out hot from the oven with a really good crust.
