Okay Beer – If you are going for a good variety of flavors of beer - it is a good place. If you are looking for good tasting microbrew beer - it might not be for you. Beer was okay not outstanding. If you are in the area - I would stop in but I would not make a special trek to go here.
Good beer! – Many wide varieties of beer (as the name suggests). Some dining tables are too close together. Decent pricing. Appetizers are large!
Red Sox pre-game a must!! – They have the best buffalo wings in town. A must stop in when the Sox are playing in Fenway. Before and after the place is a scene!
User review by jreed70 – Afriend and myself went on 9-8-05 before a Red Sox game. We were seated quickly. The server was GREAT. Very informative! The food was good. Everyone, including the staff, were in good moods and energetic!!
avoid like the plague – has all the ambience of the superdome after hurricane katrina - hot, smelly filled with angry people who have no idea when theyare getting something to eat or drink. Add a surly, ignorant staff. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else
great food – boston beer works has such a huge selection of brewed beer + the food is great. my fave is the SIRLOIN steak salad with balsamic vinegrette dressing! they also have great sweet potato fries and chicken soup!
Beerowrks has terrible service! – We recently had a meal at Beerworks and the service was TERRIBLE. After an hour of waiting, our waitress came over and admitted she had forgotten to place our order, shrugged her sholders and walked away. We had to flag her down to even get refills on our drinks. The food finally arrived without even an apology. Later we overheard waiters complaining about other tables and the tips they recieved. When we tried to talk to the manager about our poor service, they seemed to care less. Nothing w... read more
Weak game days or not – I've tried this place on game days and non game days and I've concluded that you can do better either time. The crowds are a joke on game day. It's gotta be some kind of fire hazard. Getting to the bar is like fighting for Bonds' record home run ball. Non-game days are slow, but so is the service. Check this site for alternatives.
Expensive – The waitstaff is very, very slow. Don't expect them to ask you if you want refils, you'll have to chase someone down. If you come with a large group for dinner, they treat you even worse. The only thing worth going for is the Pumpkinhead Ale and nachos. But this will set you back more than you'd think!
