love it Boston Beanery is in my hometown and I love going back to visit and going there. They have a pasta dish that I just love and their salads are fantastic too. The tea is a little weak, but I can deal with that. The service has had it's ups and downs, but, for the most part, you receive friendly, courteous service and the food comes quickly. It's a smaller restaurant with a bar and has an Irish American atmosphere, so it can be a little loud, but that's part of the charm and I wouldn't change a thing.
Boston's Comfort Food I am from New England and went to JMU and would LOVE coming to the Boston Beanery! They offer a variety of comfort foods to please everyone, generous portions guaranteed to fill you up, as well as a good beer selection.
Love The Salads I live Boston Beanery for the salads. I recommend the steak salad -although I really don't like the fries mixed in - I ask for them on the side. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is good. One thing - DO NOT order the iced tea - they really need to learn how to make tea. It is so weak, you think you are drinking colored water. I will have to admit that it is better than it used to be but still not good. Get the coffee, it is good.
