I had chronic back pain for about 5 years and had 4 Radio Frequency Ablations all without improvement. I then had MRI which revealed strangulation of L4 nerve as it exits the spine. Dr. Tabibian reviewed the MRI and explained what was happening to me in layman terms and ordered physical therapy to see if that will help. After 6 weeks of PT without any meaningful improvement he scheduled surgery and explained exactly what he was going to do.
