Mel gave me the best barber experience I’ve ever had by a mile. Incredible scissor work, a clean fade, great conversation, and taught me things I never knew about taking care of my hair. After years of going to old macho men for standard buzz cuts, it was nice to get cut by someone with a little sauce. Best barber and shop in the Philly/SJ area with the best energy

I went to Born Free for the first time recently and from start to finish it was a great experience. The atmosphere was very welcoming, but more so than that my barber, Mel, was fantastic to work with. They took their time talking to me up front to make sure they knew exactly what I was looking for and they delivered exactly what I’d wanted. They were also super fun to talk with during my cut and their personality and vibe were a big part of what made the experience so enjoyable.

Gen has been cutting my hair since 2020. I needed a barber when I moved back to the area and I will not be going anywhere else. Great barbershop with welcoming vibes.
