Friendly/convenient/cheap Ok - so I haven't been in a while, but this was the hangout in college. They had karaoke some nights and good drink specials (but who doesn't in Oakland?). Bottom line - the place was friendly, conveniently located, and cheap. To me that's all that matters in a bar :)

Great Dive Bar – The SOD (Booleggers) is a nice dive bar with really good wings on Thursday nights. This is the place to be if you are having 15 or 20 beers.
