Units are often not cleaned prior to move in - Seems to be a consistent problem across the board on these reviews and on the Facebook page "Appalachian State University Parents". In June we were given a move in date of Aug 7 (we moved in Aug 8). Townhome in Forrest Edge was filthy...grime on all doors, mouse droppings in cabinets and food spills down the front of doors/drawers, refrigerator pulled away from wall due to rust and leaking, loose food in the fridge, stove/oven covered in layers of cooked food, flooring with jagg... read more

Today, my apartment was being shown to four very respectful young girls. I was notified about the showing roughly a week ago. The property manager, Josh, however, did not knock upon entry, and no verbal announcement was made. As a female living with three female roommates, I find this extremely disrespectful. I could have been undressed or in a vulnerable state at the time of entry. I recently moved into an apartment at Nathan’s Walk, and my experience with this company has been great so far. The process was smooth and professional. I especially want to thank Ian Munoz. he is incredibly kind, helpful, and easy to work with. He went above and beyond to assist me and even helped during my move, which I truly appreciated.

I have been a resident with Boone High Country Rentals since October 2021, and my experience has been consistently and overwhelmingly positive. When I first moved to Boone, the leasing team worked diligently to secure a unit for me on short notice. They coordinated with multiple parties during my lease takeover and ensured my ESA documentation was handled carefully and correctly. I have never left a bad review but feel an obligation to share my experience. For at least half of the 1.5 years I lived in a Boone High Country Rentals apartment there was a sewage leak all over my driveway. My roommates and I had to take our shoes off immediately before entering our apartment to avoid related health risks and maintain basic hygiene.
