Visited tonight for dinner and it was great as usual. Our favorite Restaurant to come to when we visit Daytona/Ponce Inlet. The spicy steamed shrimp is simply amazing. Impossible to find better steamed shrimp anywhere else. I was a little disappointed that the prices seemed to go up on the Captains Platter since the last time we were here, but even with the jump in price it's still a great price for what you get( Crab legs, grilled fish, spicy steamed shrimp, oysters, and clams). We've been coming to Boondock's forever, and as usual, everything was great. My son and I had Oysters Rockefeller for appetizer. Main courses, my wife and I had N.Y. strip with fried shrimp, the steak was smothered in mushrooms and onions and sides were baked potato and coleslaw. Jenelle was outstanding, never had to wait for refills she was right there and friendly. The fish Reuben incredible and I was full on half the sandwich but finished that and onion rings.I hung around to let it settle when I had the nerve to ask for dessert, wow caramel cheesecake!! Needless to say I was a little piggy and finished that too. I will be frequently returning to this spot many more times.
The Mahi Mahi was amazing. Fun and friendly atmosphere.
We enjoyed our meal at Boondocks. The wait for a table was a little longer than we were told, but they were really busy. The wait staff were friendly and did a nice job. We had the fried fish dinners. Very large portions of fish and sides. Our table was on the outside edge of the restaurant with a great view of the docks. Really cool watching people feed the fish.
A must try! It's down home goodness...so fresh and tasty!
