Ordered the blackened fish it was so salty and spicy could not eat it, it was horrible.

I have been traveling from New York to Daytona every year for many years, and the boondocks is a stop that I make frequently while in the area. The food is great, the service is awesome, and the atmosphere can't be beat. It's right on the water and the birds are even friendly. They are also pet friendly (outside tables), which is a plus. My favorite dish is the Catch of the Day with Boondocks Sauce. I don't usually order anything but that. Would recommend this place to anyone traveling to Daytona.
I have had the pleasure through the years of playing music for Hillary and good folks at Boondocks at West Bay. Definitely one the most beautiful venues I've ever played. The food is delicious , the sunset view of the bay breathtaking
Just the type of place we were looking for!! Quaint small bar and restaurant on the water with good seafood selections. Our waitress was top notch and we even got to spend some time talking and laughing with other patrons from Canada who have been coming there for over 5 years! Even though they make cocktails with wine instead of liquor would definitely make a point to go back next time we’re in Daytona!
A fabulous off the beaten path find! A great laid back atmosphere a d terrific food. The blackened shrimp alfredo was amazing!!

We started coming to Boondocks in 2006 as visitors to the area. We have lived in the area for the last year and eat at Boondocks once a week. It is by far one of the best "local" places around. It's not pretentious. It's a greenhouse, so don't expect a fancy seafood restaurant. But the food is excellent, especially the fish special, and the staff are exceptionally pleasant. They work as a team. The river view is awesome and if you have kids they can feed the fish.
