I cannot understand the bad reviews. Dr Book diagnosed Hashimoto thyroidiris when others had missed it. She is no nonsense. Tells it like it is.
Arrogant, focused only on her agenda. Wouldn't listen to me and my concerns. She stated that after 2 years of medication she would remove my thyroid gland, whether it needed to be removed or not that was her policy. I will never see her again! I would give her no stars if I could. Not a doctor who focuses on patient health.
She listened, and helped me get back to normal. She offered different treatment plans, and let me be part of treatment decisions.
I had thyroid cancer in 2006. She was (somehow) recommended by my surgeon (who was outstanding). Her front office was incompetent. I waited in the room for 45 minutes. She came in & spewed all this information about radioactive iodine & things I did not know were coming. She never allowed me to ask questions. She said she would see me again in a period of time, but, then added, "but, I have patients who are dying..." OMG, so rude. I was shaking by the time I left. Dr. Book always helped me know exactly what I had to do to improve my health. She did not waste words and I knew what she meant. One time I strayed from the goals we set and she let me know about it. I needed to know how serious it was and the what the consequences were for getting off track. I did not see her for three years at one point during an extremely rough and exhausting time. Dr. Lori Book is the best endocroligiest i ever had. She is straightforward, caring, polite and extremely knowledgeable. She kept me in good health. I hope she start working again. Now i am with Kaiser Permanente.OMG, production line...
I have seen Dr. Book for a very long time, probably about 12 years, I trust her whole heartedly, she is very smart, and she knows her stuff, if you are not interested in taking care of yourself ? Don’t waste her time, she is firm, Diabetes and patients aren’t east to handle at times, but she gives it her all. I love her and have the upmost trust for her.
She told me to starve myself due to diabetes. She told me, “Ghandi did it and so can I.” Unbelievable. I have never met a doctor so incompetent. These bad reviews are founded.
I have been seeing Dr. Lori Book since 2013. I have no issues with her but her ancillary staff are lazy, liars and unreliable. Dr. Book has seen patients since May of 2019. I had an appoint today August 2, 2019 and called the office to make sure she will be returning by my appointment. I called the Monday July 29,2019 and was told she will be returning.
