I have been a pediatrician for over 20 years and have raised 2 boys and a girl. Between my own kids and practice, I have pretty much been there or seen that. If a puzzled parent tells me an odd story, I often think about my own children growing up and what they would have done. Often a flash of insight strikes and I ask "Any chance your child has done such and such?".
