First time donating !! They made the process very easy
Showed up late and they were still able to get me in quickly. Nice staff members and were very respectful. However, I witnessed 0 hand hygiene during my visit. A staff member even came to do a needle adjustment to the needle in my arm without preforming hand hygiene or applying gloves. Definitely needs to be reinforced considering staff members handle blood all day to reduce the spread of bacteria and blood borne pathogens.
****Update this is how horrible vitalent is. I am a biweekly donor, with special services, and it seems everytime its something. Today I made an appointment arrived 22 MINUTES EARLY. Signed in, did the questions, and was told to sit down. 45 minutes later I walked out AFTER 6 people had went ahead of me, 4 of which were NOT THERE when I arrived, so no way they were signed in before me. i had to leave because I had somewhere else I needed to be this afternoon. i was very excited to be able to donate blood here. saw a “national shortage” ad for my blood type and immediately called to make an appointment to donate. i looked forward to doing this for a while and when i went in i didn’t mind the wait. but one lady was very loud, openly complaining and chatting while people were getting blood drawn. very uncomfortable. when i went back to do the vitals and questionnaire thing the lady did the temperature in my mouth and said “i don’t want to pry but my family has a history of tongue ca... read more
