Went to uhaul in Somerville mass on 5/9/2021 around 4pmto buy two Tv box customer gave me box and asked for my payment method but preferd card even though I have exact change. I gave him my card he start putting my info into phone then he asked for my zipcode I told him I was uncomfortable given that info out and if we can do transaction at the register he gave me my card back left the store. Uhaul will scam you for whatever they can get. After reserving and paying $2000 up front for a one way truck from Alberta fo BC, they charged another $115 upon pickup. They promised there would not be further charges as mileage was included and stated there was no cap on mileage. We returned the truck 1 day early, cleaned with moving blankets folded (which several when we recieved them smelled like cat pee and the smell soaked into my items) and with gas topped up as requested, they said everything was good and we asked agai... read more

My UHaul (with insurance) GOT STOLEN and the POLICE returned it (via tow after 20 mile high speed chase with thief who was arrested, but not before crashing it into a tree with all my stuff). I was forced to PAY FOR ANOTHER TRUCK and then NEVER GOT A REFUND. It is impossible to get UHaul on the phone and when I wait 45 minutes I'm told to call a different number. They wrote to me about a $4 toll but crickets on the whole police report.

Made a reservation to have a trailer hitch & wiring installed on our car at the Keene, NH U-Haul shop. I arrived at the proper time (7am) which was confirmed in our reservation notice from corporate. The General Manager for the location was difficult and contradicted everything (except the price) we were told by corporate when we made our reservation. I had a horrible experience at this UHAUL today. I had scheduled for my car to be wired, arrived on time, they took my keys and car and quoted an estimated wait time of 1.5-2hours. 1.5 hours later they called to tell me that they just noticed the parts for my car had been stolen from them a few days ago and they would need to reschedule my install. In March of 2021, my husband received word that he would need to transfer his position to another state so we promptly booked a 20 foot Uhaul with tow hitch to tow my car as we own two vehicles. The morning before our move, they called us to let us know that 1. The Uhaul we reserved would not be available at the agreed upon and scheduled pick-up time that we reserved and 2. I relocated from Idaho to AZ. I reserved a one way truck rental two months prior to my departure. I called to confirm my rental one week before I was to leave and was told they could not guarantee a truck for a one-way move, that they were not sure they would receive one by then. WHAT??? That's why you make reservations. I called another company. I also reserved a storage unit one month prior to my arrival. While on the road I called to confirm my reservation. Their system was down. I took the u-haul truck in yesterday and the U haul personnel told me how much gas to put in the truck for refill. We went to gas station, met another uhaul staff member, they also told us how much fuel to refill...Gomart....1/2 mile away. We refilled the truck and returned the truck. The last uhaul staff member was extremely rude yelling at us. We remembered him from last May 2020, because he took our truck in then. Extremely unprofessional. We scheduled an appointment with Uhaul to install a hitch to pull a trailer for our long distance move with small children. First appointment created 4/20/2021 to install a hitch in 4/28/2021 for moving on May 1. The Uhaul location calls the day of saying they don’t have the part. Instead of making the appointment and charging me for a location that doesn’t have the part, I could have gone with another company who could have installed it already.
